Mirage (Official Album Version)

I asked my friend, Nate what I should write about. He said "I'll give you one word: Mirage. With no pretense about the end result or meaning I started writing. Mirage became a song about the stages of a relationship, and how even the best parts aren't what they seem the deeper love grows.

I was fortunate to have this song reviewed by the great people over at Indie Music Center. Check them out and I'm confident you'll discover some new music you love.

Here are the lyrics to Mirage:

Mirage Lyrics:

Saw you standing by the bar, fluorescent

Got to find out who you are Before he gets here

Steal away off to the corner, finally

I talked way too much You were happy to let me

Oh what a mirage

I see it now It was all a mirage

Now I know there’s nothing else like

A walk through the desert on your side

No one else to hold on

Sleep next to you when it’s cold

Took the long way out

There at the end saw you crying

You go first I’ll take the road behind you

Oh what a mirage

I see it now It was all a mirage

Now I know there’s nothing else like

A walk through the desert on your side

No one else to hold on

Sleep next to you when it’s cold

Now I know there’s nothing else like it

Time won’t stand still

Some parts may linger

Wounds heal, plans change

Love grows deeper
